Welcome

This course has a larger academic component than the National 4 Practical Cookery option, and may be a suitable progression from that course.  There is also a practical element which often ties in with the theory. As with other courses, there is a coursework component (50%) and final exam (50%), and the course award is graded from A-D.
    Presentation for the final exam is dependent upon passing the prelim exam in the January.  A lower level option is available for those pupils struggling at this time.

Where can my parents find out more?

Your school will give your parents an Options or Choices information booklet, which has detailed information on the curriculum and the individual subjects or courses you can study. It will also invite them along to a Parents’ Information Evening.
